How it checks.

You record once what each person can't eat. Every line in your week is checked against all of them before you see it. No magic, no promises.

Three results. There is no fourth.

Your week only ever shows the first one. The other two are how things stay out of it. You meet them when you browse the library or add something yourself.

A conflict never reaches your week. An unverified line is never recommended. Both are shown where you would meet them, so nothing is hidden.

Never the word “safe”.

Fuda can't know a kitchen's habits or a factory's line, and won't pretend to. The label stays leading. You check the few things it flagged, not everything, every time.

It does the checking. You keep the final say.

Where the information comes from.

Plain answers, kept current. Where our coverage is thin, you see the number, not a rounder one.

Ingredients
Our ingredient database, allergen information checked row by row. A row not yet verified shows “unable to verify”, not a guess.
Supermarket products
The ingredient statements and allergen declarations retailers publish, tied to the exact product by UPC, with prices read daily. “May contain” statements are voluntary in the US, so a product shows unable to verify more often, and the line says why.
Restaurants and delivery
What venues publish about their menus. Publishes nothing we can check? Then it isn't recommended.
Freshness
Every result carries the date its information was last updated. Old information looks old.
The public pages
Town, product and dish pages are coming. Search will open a checked answer with the same three results, source and date. That door is not open yet.

When something is wrong.

Tell us at hello@fuda.app. We stop relying on that result while we investigate, and we tell you what we found. Mistakes are handled in the open.

What Fuda is not.

Not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat anything. Which foods are right for a condition is between you and your practitioner. Fuda applies what you record.
